Fort Gate's Ferry

In the Salt Springs (Florida) area is a small ferry that crosses the St. John's River. It's always been a great attraction for me and others when camping up there. I've heard a rumor, however, that after around 150 years it has stopped running due to damage from Hurricane Irma. Has anyone heard this? Local news has nothing...

They have a post of their Facebook page as of 1-18-18 they are still closed due to damage from Irma.

I'm one of those rarities that doesn't do Facebook.

I don't do Facebook either, but a quick Google search and their Facebook page showed and thats usually a good place to get some current info.
