My Grandparents an now Mom live in Pine Island. Grandparents lived there in a fancy trailer park between 41 an 75 on Pine Island Rd when Pine Island road stopped at 41 which then was a 2 lane road. Once Pine Island road was extended past 41 he built a home not far past 41. It was all woods back then. I never made it to many of the museums while visiting but we did go to the Shell Factory a few times. Great fishing back then to. My Grandfather is who got me into fishing an taught me about conservation. Good times.

helpful staff jammed together sites that unfortunately for us had no view. If you have a back in site and no rear window you have no water view. Clean campground well run with no shenanigans tolerated. Can be very difficult to get off island on weekends as there is a traffic bottleneck in Matlatcha.

Stayed at the Pine Island KOA for a week in February a couple of years ago. Enjoyed the stay and considered it a good well run campground. I'd go back again.

Today we are set up now. Very very small site. The neighbor today pulled his truck in our yard up to our table. We have a truck in our yard and his sewer is almost under our picnic table. We have a small outside carpet that is all. In all of the years camping this is a joke.
This is a come home and go to bed site. It is a clean campground. It is quiet. It is the smallest site we have ever been on. I am not sure if we can put the awning out! Two weeks of this? I don’t think so.
