Get this....someone took our Disney golf cart. We parked it at the Outpost this morning and when we got back in from Epcot this evening, it was gone.

Several Disney employees including our bus driver helped us look for it, but it was long gone.

Disney replaced it within a half hour. But seriously, how hard is it to take the correct one?

DANG! What a pain. Glad it was resolved quickly.

We've been using a different golf cart source for several years. We also have balloons and other stuff tied onto it so it is easy to spot/hard to make an honest mistake. But if someone took ours, I'm betting it would be PIA to get a replacement, not a 30 minute wait.

Hope everything else has been 'Magical'.

We didn't have anything in ours to make it unique except that we had a couple of towels to wipe it down after the rain laying across the seats. Whoever took it had to move those towels before driving away. So, either they had towels covering their seats also or just didn't care.

The guy at the cart counter said that it wasn't a very common occurrence, but that it does happen occasionally.

Everything else has been excellent. Quite a bit of rain the last few days, but other than that it has been excellent.

I give you credit. It is really tight in here. After I unhooked, I was able to back my truck pretty far up in to the site so I don't think I was in the way of the people across from me when they arrived. Of course, we were in the park so it is hard to know for sure.

Pulling this old thread up for a moment. Just an FYI for anyone booking Fort Wilderness at this time. The Disney website is showing no availability at Ft. Wilderness right now for next summer (2020). However, if you call the reservation line, they have spots available. We just booked for June 2020 with no issue.

They have the worse on-line system for reservations that is why we always use a Travel Agent and he even finds the deals if there are any. No added cost for you, he gets paid by the Mouse.

I agree with you. You can't rely on their online system at all. I wonder how many people check online and turn away thinking that nothing is available.

I also want to add that the Disney representative asked us if we had a preferred loop on the phone. We told them 500 as 1st choice and 100 2nd. This is the first time that they have asked when we've booked.

I know things have changed in regards to site assignments especially since they now have "Premium Meadow" sites

What loops now make up the Premium Meadow or are they all new?

Thanks. I just booked a preferred site as we always do. We like to be near the marina. At the price they are charging for those now, I really don't have any desire to upgrade.

Booking late, I was really concerned that we wouldn't get all of the dining reservations that we wanted. But, my wife has been hard at it all afternoon and everything seems to be falling in to place.

That's great. We always booked 400 (normally got 402) for that reason too. There was talk that they are planning even higher tier sites where the group area is/was as part of the DVC Resort construction.

There was quite a bit of construction activity on that new resort when we were there in August. I can't wait to see how much they have done when we get there this year. My oldest daughter is still upset that they raised the old River Country site though.

Very nice pictures. My first time there was 1992 I believe. We were at Disney in 1982 and 1987 prior to that. But, we didn't stop at River Country on those trips.

Sooo, we decided to return to Disney in 2021.

Went to book our end of March 2021 trip, and they were basically booked!

I settled for a "preferred" campsite, and 3 days later than when we wanted to go.

It's more of a placeholder, since I'm not sure we can return north in time, given that we have to get the kid back to school.

Last time we booked over spring break, it was about 9 months out, and there was plenty of availability.

I was shocked that even with the meadow campsites added that it was booked that far in advance!

Isn't there a facebook group that is able to pull strings? We'd like a Premium site to squeeze our 43' 5th wheel onto along with our tow vehicle.
