Ticket prices went up for both parks (WDW & DL)as well as for annual passes. It is supposed to help control the crowds, but it's not working. Prices go up and the crowds get bigger. Saw an article today that there is really no "slow" time anymore.

There'd need to be a recession for the crowds to lessen. Right now everyone has jobs and many are taking out loans to go on this vacation. To me, if you need to take a loan to go to Disney, then you probably can't afford it.

We stayed in the Fort for the first time in 2014 (October I think) and paid $95/night. Ahhh, the good ‘ole days. Even at $200/night it’s still a better bargain than one of their resort properties especially if you need 2 rooms.

Especially since you can have 10 people per site.

But at end of day, you're paying for a concrete pad with hookups... bringing your own towels, cleaning your own toilets, etc.

Nevertheless, it's my preferred way to go to disney. We will be there in 3 weeks.

If they're factoring in 10 people per site as part of their pricing, I'd much rather they charge me for a base rate of 4 and make me pay extra for more people.

I'd also like to wake up a millionaire in a Tiffin, but it is what it is.

Been 10 per site as long as I can remember.

We went to Fort Wilderness from July 10-20. We enjoyed it so much, and I would love for us to go back, but it's just too expensive.
We spent $150 per night on a premium site. When you consider you bring your own "house" with you, it shouldn't cost so much. A room at the Pop Century would have cost around $280, and half the gas to get there and back.

We enjoyed it. It was the best Disney trip we've ever had, but we'll probably keep our trailer closer to home for future trips.

The Mouse knows what he’s doing. Everything is geared towards getting the $$$ out of your pocket and into his and he’s damn good at it. In return tho he gives you an awesome experience. I’ve stayed in a few of the resort properties and the Fort twice. I prefer the Fort hands down.

We had a blast this last week. Yes the mouse know how to extract that money from your wallet. however we would go back. This time we want to go back and have some down days at the fort to enjoy it a bit more than we did this trip.

Pop was around $180/night, not $280. I couldn't figure out how to edit.

Oh yeah, I agree. Our last trip was with our GS (his parents came too) and we stayed 10 days in the Fort and planned 2 down days and 2 days at Universal, the rest we gave to the Mouse. We are also fans of the delux dining plan, it’s pricey but we enjoy hitting more of the “fine dining” places and feel we get our $$$ worth. We also rented an off-property cart and found that a great and fun way to get around.
