I’m due down 11/1 - I’m sure a lot of that will change and some of it may regress before we’re due to arrive.

I guess by virtue of needing a reservation to get into a park means that’s the end of Park Hopper for now? Also I wonder what happens to people who had dining reservations at a park? For some, like my DW, Park Hopper means you can use that feature to simply drop into a park you weren’t in all day just for the restaurant.

There is no doubt that this is going to change the way we vacation at Disney for the foreseeable future. Like you, we often park hop just for dinner reservations.

Thanks. That actually explains why I couldn't book a dining package when we moved my cancelled reservations for June.

I saw that Grumpy...but it also says "pending government approval". Don't know what all that entails??

Edit: I love telling folks that I'm with the government and I'm here to help.

I believe each park is submitting their opening plans to their respective county governments to ensure they are following local regulations.

Its going to be interesting to see how things transpire. Essentially they are charging you the same but giving you much less - at least at this point in time. Disney isn’t a cheap vacation by any stretch - I give myself only a 20-25% chance of actually making it there this November. Lets see how it goes.

He made the final decision.....

If given approval next by Gov. Ron DeSantis, the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will open on July 11 and Epcot and Hollywood Studios will open on July 15. SeaWorld's plan is to welcome back tourists and residents on June 11, after a June 10 employee appreciation night. Here are some details of each company's plans.

Thanks for the update. As I mentioned last week, we moved our trip from this June to June of 2021. The only thing I can't get officially cancelled is our golf cart. The reservation line for the carts wasn't active yet up as of last Friday. I need to call again this week and see if I can get through.

We decided to cancel our November reservation; we still have a separate reservation in April. We’ll see how things are going at that time.

Disney is a lot of money, and we don’t want to spend it on a vacation that is less then what we are used to. If the house of mouse cut a discount maybe its a conversation for us. MAYBE. But full price for how things are going down there right now and with specter of a worse Covid situation in the fall?

We just felt better letting this one go.

That definitely sounds like the right thing to do. I know people are really excited about getting back to Disney, but I just don't see how it can be enjoyable. Especially now, with the number of cases exploding in Florida, you made a good decision. Disney delayed opening Disneyland, they need to do the same with Disney World.

I'm sure it is disappointing for you and the family. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon.

We have been going there for a very long time. We try to stay at quail trail. We are going for three weeks. We rent a golf cart to cruise looking at the campers and holiday decorations.
We were more in the back last year but the deer and turkey’s were too much for our three English setters.
The size of the pad is important keep that in mind.
This is our favorite campground we have been camping for 42 years all over our wonderful country.

Updated info courtesy FORT FIENDS:

Reports from the weekend starting Friday the 3rd said that the pools and decks were so crowded that they reached the new capacity guidelines and were turning people away early in the day.

When a storm comes thru, they have to stay closed until they clean all of the chairs/tables etc, because they didn't know what ones were in use before the storm hit.

The new normal guidelines are you turn the backs down when leaving or lean the chairs into the tables so they know to clean those.

Stores and restaurants were packed and are on new early closing hours. Also guests were told they had to wear masks while looping in carts.

We booked 3 weeks for this January. Hope they are back to almost normal! My favorite thing are the parade and Main Street.
