Gettysburg/Battleground KOA

Just booked a quick weekend trip there this May. Excited to be going back to Gettysburg. I think the last time we went was 3 years ago, so it was time to go back. The KOA here has cable tv for $2 a day . Now that's roughing it! Last time we were here we stayed at the Marriott, but now that we have a Jayco we will be living large in our TT and for about 1/3 the cost to boot.

Last time we had a great dinner at Sweeney's Tavern in the Farnsworth Inn, so will either go back there or maybe go to Garyowen Irish Pub. Also did a ghost tour which was fun and informative, but not that scary. We're not making too much in the way of plans since it's just going to be a full day Saturday and Sunday morning.

Great CG. Have been there plenty. Love the museum in town!

I stayed here last year when I went: Gettysburg Campground :: Camping in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

It was a decent campground. Not sure how much better the KOA is compared to this, but if anybody has been to both I'd love to hear.

I will let you know how it is. We didn't look at that campground though. It was a tossup between the KOA and the Artillery Ridge Campground - Home. We liked the idea of being around the horses (we own 1 currently), but the KOA won out in the end.

Just got back home from Gettysburg and man did we have fun! The first outing in the Jayco was awesome. Everything except the Furrion radio worked perfectly.

Here's a couple of pics from the weekend. By the way, the KOA was a great place to camp.

We have been to Gettysburg several times. We always camped at Drummer Boy. They have a water slide for the kids...and adults. Gettysburg is a great place to stay.
