Grand Isle State Park, Grand Isle Louisiana

Just got back from our first trip of the year. As the title says, stayed at Grand Isle State Park. The camp ground was actually pretty full. Had a group of Boy Scouts camping on the beach and they had a big bonfire on Saturday nite. The sites have electric and water but no sewer. They do have showering facilities that are quite nice. Individual stalls for showers and well kept. The beach didn't have white sand but it was nice to walk on. The beach is right over the dune that protects the camp ground. We were at site 38 which was a short walk from a path over the dune to the beach.

Troy, great looking park! I had to look twice when I saw your rig. We have the exact same unit minus the play pen! All our youngins are grown. Wait a minute is that the pen your DW puts up for you to keep you close by? haha! Thanks for the pics!!!

We camp there several times a year... There are a few other camp grounds on the island that do have sewer, but they are a bit higher and not as nice(not even close). Another month the fishing will be great on the beach!!! Can't wait to head back

Kettrell,

Our boys are grown up as well, the pen is for our 4 pugs to sit with us while we are outside. They enjoy it. One of them even decided that the picnic table was a great place for a nap. And the DW has a leash just for me, Haha.
