harley museum

want to make a trip to Milwaukee to the Harley museum. What's a good campground with FHU close to Milwaukee? don't need a lot of extra's at the campground, won't spend much time there. Has anyone been to the museum and if so, can I park my rig in the lot there (not camping). I'm asking you all because some people have no clue to what it takes for us to enter and exit parking lots or low bridges. Thanks in advance for your help.

You can try the Wisconsin State Fair RV Park. It is just a big paved parking lot with fhu. Has showers and restrooms that were clean when we stayed there. Sights aren't necessarily level and depending on your sight, your sewer connection may be up hill, but it is close by. It has been a couple of years since we've been there, but as I recall there is not much room to park and maneuver a rig at the museum.

Thanks Theraqueteer. I saw that when I was checking out Milwaukee but just curious how safe to leave the TT there all day while at the museum. I see your from Middletown, if that is De., I'm right up the road from you in Newark.
It does seem to be the closest thing to the museum, thanks again for your input.

Yes, it is DE. But we just sold our house the end of last month and now full time for a while in the RV. I think your TT will be safe, at least as much as in any other park. We spent two nights there and had no problems. You will probably want to spend a full day at the museum. Enjoy!
