Has anyone camped at Oscar Scherer SP in Osprey, FL ??

Going to visit some family in the area and was wondering if there are any thoughts about this park or others in the area.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be certainly welcomed.

We looked it over a few years ago while in the area. It is a very busy park. I would stay there but make reservations plenty early.

I know this is a very old thread, but, just in case somebody is searching... be aware that Oscar Scherer will be closed until November 2018, while they replace the bridge that gives access to the campground area.

We were there in August 2018 and it was still open.

Yes, that should, of course, have read "closed until November 2019"
