Heading west

Thinking about a road trip west from South Jersey. Anybody suggest a good route west from South Jersey?

I'm only a few 295 exits south of My Laurel and with my rig drained, filled with antifreeze and covered, I'm not going any where till next year.
BUT if I was, I think I would head South to West. Travel down Skyline drive, Blue Ridge Parkway. The leaves should still be in color. There are some tunnels past the 400+ mile marks that maybe to low for some rigs.
I would then travel south west to keep out of the colder weather and finally west
That's me

As 201822j said, head South. Plan on taking I-10, not I-40.

We used to live in MI and have friends and family there. We have had to make a couple of winter trips back there and stayed on I-10 until directly south of MI. A longer drive, but a safer one.

Whatever route you take, do pay attention to the weather forecasts and be safe.
