Hurricane, Utah

I am in my planning stages for when we travel to the south-west. Hurricane Utah appears to be a good "wagon wheel" area (i.e. can go off in multiple directions from the hub). I realize this area in in a higher elevation than most; but, is this doable thru the winter months as well? My family and I can tolerate a day or two in the teens; however, prefer above freezing.

Regardless of when we stop, what campgrounds would anyone reccomend?

What type of campground are you looking for? Most UT state park campground are dry camping, no hookups. Do you have a member of Passport America or other campground membership groups? If you are going to Zion, Watchman Campground is where most people try to stay. Electric only hookup, water nearby and dump station but you are in the park.

You may want to check out these reviews.

Hope this helps.
