I-10 Camping

We will be traveling in early summer across I-10 from Jacksonville area to Houston area. As this is an unfamiliar trip for us, does anyone have any highly recommended stops/RV Parks/areas to see along the way (also Port Arthur area)? We enjoy a site with great views/water,i.e, coast/lakes/etc. Thanks for any suggestions. Thanks.

If you want to visit the NOLA area look into Pontchartrain Landing. It’s convenient to the city and is on the lake.

I-10 between Lafayette and Baton Rouge was real rough and the road thru Beaumont is not in good shape.

Rough road around Batten Rouge. Ensure ll is batten down. We broke dishes last time passing through.

Agree that I-10 is rough! That was one of the main reasons I put shocks on the trailer.

We stayed at Reunion lake and it was really nice.

Our children enjoyed Cajun Palms near Breaux Bridge, LA.
