I hate towing through just about any major city.

On our last trip, we left our house by 3am so that we could drive through Houston well before rush hour, and that worked out well for us.

We plan to do the same when we head east so that we can avoid the drama of the bridge that goes over the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge.

It's more difficult when heading back home, however.

I guess I have either been extremely fortunate or just blissfully ignorant because I have towed up and down I-75 numerous times thru Cincinnati and Atlanta and haven't really minded either one yet.

I will admit the construction in downtown Cincy did get a little nuts there for the past couple of years pulling our 40' Eagle TT but was actually not bad this past spring on our way back to Michigan. I just try and time my passage either mid morning or mid afternoon during the week and expect every single vehicle that passes me to cut me off.

However, the stretch of I-75 and I-40 near Knoxville where they run together is where my butt cheeks tend to tighten up on a regular basis. I have had more close calls and backups/standstills in that 10 mile or so stretch of road than anywhere else.
