Idaho Camping

Hi All, we are looking for any insight to Southern Idaho camping. At this time we don't want to go any further North than Boise. If anyone has any experiences good or bad with Idaho camping, can you please pass it on to us? Thank you, Ted

We are in Carson City, Nevada and hoping someday to relocate to Nampa or Meridian area in the near future. Just thought we might check out some camping areas up there. Thanks.

Hundreds of locations, I camp in forest service campgrounds fairly often, Boise National Forest has all their campgrounds listed on their website, I have camped near Idaho City, Anderson Ranch Reservoir, Cascade Lake, Alturas Lake, Pettit Lake, Stanley Area, and many more that I have not camped at near McCall, Yellow Pine... and this is just touching the surface.

Once located in Idaho it's not too far to travel to Yellowstone, Tetons, and destinations in eastern Oregon.

Good luck
