Jersey Shore in Mid April

Greetings all!

I am looking for some ideas for an RV Park somewhere along the Jersey Shore in Mid April. I have business that will keep me in the NYC area for about a week, but I will have some down time also. Fishing certainly may be on the agenda. I am looking to try my hand at surf and pier fishing. (Fishing advice is also appreciated!).

So what are your recommendations for campgrounds, things to do, and where to eat (fresh, but not fancy!).

I have a 29' foot with a slide, 30 amp service.

Many thanks!

Beachcomber is nice but it’s in Cape May.

We've camped at Big Timber Lake...15 min from Stone Harbor...Sprung from cages out on Highway 9...Springsteen humor...Just above Wildwood...FREE Cape May Zoo..Eat?? https://www.quahogsshack.com. They also have a Wendy's near by. Lobster House in Cape May is good....two miles landing also good. It takes several years to discover it all.

Seashore Campgound and Cape May KOA are both excellent choices. Plenty to do and good places to eat nearby, note however that it is early in the season and not all restaurants in the area will be fully open yet.

It's striped bass season in NJ now. Wherever you stay, talk to the local bait shop. They can point you in the right direction & recommend the right bait or lure. If staying in the Cape May area, there are lots of good surf to fish. If more north, Island Beach State Park is popular. If staying closer to NYC, Sandy Hook is the place to go, or go on a charter or party boat. Right now, the boats are pretty much can't miss. Good Luck!
