Juniper Lake in Defuniak Springs FL

This was a very nice CG although we don't have much to compare it to (yet). It's 75 miles East of Pensacola and about 10 miles off I-10. Defuniak Springs is a very pretty and historic small town. It was a very unexpected oasis.

Open Pond

Hey, you need to make it to Open Pond. They have 2 loops that are for rv's, nice camp host, one to each loop.
Quiet and nice a couple of weekends ago. This is listed under the forestry division in covington county, al.
If you are 62 and over don't forget to get the golden pass that is put out.
You stay here for $8.00 a night.

Shush! You're giving away one of the best kept secrets in southern Alabama! I use the Golden Access Pass, I get the same rate. Golden Access is for those with disabilities. Being a disabled veteran means that I qualified for the pass. I just had to go to Andalusia to the ranger station to show them my paperwork, five minutes later I walked out with the pass.

Blackwater River State Park is another hidden gem right on the Blackwater River.
