La Hacienda rv resort

Has anyone on here spent any time at La Hacinda RV Resort by Lake Travis? My wife, kiddo, dog, and I will be full timing for awhile in our new North Point 377(&#128515 soon. That is where I think we're going to be for awhile(at least 6 months) for my work, while we explore Texas lakes a bit to figure out where we want to buy another home. We are moving from Spearfish, SD.

Sorry, I haven't stayed here before, but you peeked my interest since I will be near Austin this weekend at a SP. Go to campgroundreviews.com and check out the postings. Someone posted from there stay last month...it gets a overall good rating.

The bride, wiener dog and I stayed there a few days this fall. Long, level, wide concrete pads. It is near the lake (Travis) but I didn't see any public access nearby. It is tidy and well kept but is a bit $$$. Close enough to grocery stores and restaurants. You can see several reviews at: RV Park Reviews - Trusted Reviews of Campgrounds & RV Parks

If you get into the Texas Hill Country (Between Austin & San Antonio), you might want to check out Pedernales Falls State Park. I stayed there for a week over Thanksgiving on my way from Dallas to my Kerrville-area winter home. They have huge campsites with electric & water, nice concrete picnic table with grill & fire pit; all for around $20/night. Also, plenty of deer & turkeys, hiking trails, the "falls", several wineries in the area, and grocery, convenience stores, and gas stations within 10 miles. All made for a very enjoyable stay!

X2 on Pedernales Falls SP....love that park!!! Also you might try Jim Hogg...Army Corps of Engineer Park on Lake Georgetown...you can reserve a specific site.

These two parks are probably not good for the original poster as he is most likely wanting sewer hookups for full-timing.

BrentB - good point that I overlooked.

Thanks for all the comments! The state parks are great, but unfortunately, we need full hook ups and public school nearby.

How far away from the lake are you, have you tried any fishing there? can you drive a golf cart to the lake?

This park is "near" the lake. I didn't recall any public access ares close enough for a cart.
Take a look on Google maps, maybe you can find access. The LCRA park at the dam is the closest public access I know of.
