Lake George RV Park

This is the second time we come here and I feel like I am in love!
It is beautiful and clean.
We stay in the 400 loop but the outer and inner loops are great as well. It is not cheap but you get full resort value.

Agreed, as much as we like the place it has gotten very pricey.

There is a new high-end place close to LGRV which is due to open next year.

Unless I am mistaken, when I checked out their site and they only have their NH park showing.

From talking to people in the area, these folks bought the property from others who faced resistance and ran out of money before they could build their dream park on the property. Apparently these folks have the experience and money they think will be necessary to build their high-end park. People in the area say other major park owners, who will remain nameless, are trying to block the new park.

Lake George RV Park

I looked at their site and they do mention the new park in LG opening in 2014. We'll see. I really love the tall mature trees and space LGRV Park has.

Me too. I also like that they have lower growth between a lot of the sites. We always stay in the upper area.

We've been gong for so long we have a few campers friends we see there fairly frequently.

Where is the upper area?
was biking yesterday and I like the area near the alpine hill (trail)
All areas are all together different. Interesting, something for everybody

How is the area? Is it a place with enough to do for a family for a week? I looked on atlas and on the bottom of Adirondack Mtns? After Michigan, we'd like to try NY and then Gettysburg on way home.
Are there any state parks in Lake George? I haven't researched yet.

We just stayed at Moose Hillock in New Hampshire, not sure if I'd call a high end campground. It was very nice but not even close to LGRV park. It's tucked into the side of a mountain with dirt roads and very few activities for kids besides the pool. The pool was great for the kids, it had 2 water slides coming out of a pirate ship. We enjoyed it though and will be going back. When we talked to the staff they were saying that the pool in Lake George park was being installed. So it sounds as if its a go in NY.

Here's a good place to stay....tried it out and liked the wilderness setting. Lots of short day trips you can take out of LG.
