Lake Texoma Camping Suggestions

We are considering a trip in September or early October to visit son and DIL who are attending college in Durant OK and thinking camping by Lake Texoma would be nice. Googling "campgrounds near Lake Texoma" brings up a long list so looking to you guys for help narrowing down the choices. Full hookups are not required but wouldn't be turned down. Electric is preferred and a clean, decent shower house is a must if no full hookups. Could care less about cable or wifi. Also has to be large dog friendly. Recommendations of where to stay/avoid appreciated.

Both Texas State Campgrounds and the Army Core of Engineers campgrounds are nice. We stayed last year at the State grounds and had full hookups.. Very nice camp sites.

We've been to Eisenhower state park a number of times and like it. They offer full hook ups. West Burns Run is a Corp of Engineer's park and is very nice as well. There are others in the area but those are the two we frequent.
