The two caves adjacent to the park are unique and worth the time to visit. Hannibal is Mark Twain’s birth place and history on him in Hannibal can fill most of a day.
We would not have thought to venture to Hannibal but were invited by camping buddies and since we are always ready to hit the road, we said sure. Had a great time. If you are passing through this area overnight or for a few days, this campground is a safe pleasant reasonably price place to stop.

We stayed there as well in April of 2014. DW called ahead to make reservations for that evening, but said we'd be getting there in the early evening. So problem she said. Just pick a site and settle up in the morning.
We get there, and what so we find? A completely empty campground. No one was there. It was kind of eerie being the only RV in the entire place. Come to find out, the next morning, the camp ground had just opened for the season the day we got there, and it definitely earlier than normal tourist season.
I agree it's a good RV park and close to Hannibal. WRT to Hannibal, that town stays alive due to it's association with Mark Twain. Without Samuel Clements, aka Mark Twain, wouldn't have a lot going for it, at least that I saw.
