Military Campgrounds

Have a Military campground question. Our son will be attending basic training May -July in Fort Sill Oklahoma. Planning on taking camper to his graduation in July. Medicine creek RV park is located there. Are parents able to use military campground if family member in basic training.
Thanks !

Must be Active Duty, Retired Military, Military Dependent, DoD Civilians,
Contractors, and 18 years of age. Reservations must be reserved by the individual that will be occupying the site.

Also not all FAMCAMPS accept reservations. Here's a link that explains more.

Back in 1997 when I went through basic training at Fort Sill, my parents did exactly that. However, it was an open post 25 years ago (has it been that long already?) meaning you did not have to check in at the gate to gain admittance. A lot has changed in that time. I don't think you would be considered a military dependent, but you could always ask.

As Scott said, it won't hurt to call. Medicine Creek only has six FHU sites. They do have an offsite facility that seems to be open to the public.
