The new law, called the Great American Outdoors Act, puts as much as $9.5 billion toward a National Park System backlog in deferred maintenance, which has grown to $12 billion since the 1990s. Funding starts in the 2021 fiscal year.
This is a reason to celebrate, unless they start using this for projects to limit visitation to the National Parks. I understand crowd control and limiting entrance tickets but do not support removing campsites.
