Chocorua KOA

Looks really nice, and has won some awards. Very Dog friendly, with Doggy daycare even. We're planning a week in late AUgust there.

Been wanting to take a trip up there myself. I believe the state parks are dry camping. Due search on line or check out campground review.

We stayed at the KOA Chocorua several years back and and a nice time. Another good campground is Danforth Bay in Freedom, NH, a bit bigger but also very clean, with spacious sites. Danforth Bay probably has more on-site activities for the kids. I don't think you could go wrong with either. Both campgrounds are near the White Mountains of New Hampshire if you enjoy outdoor activities. Great mountains, rivers, and lakes. If you have young children and don't mind doing the tourist thing, you might consider Storyland for a day.

I plan on trying Danforth Bay this summer. And I would love to do another Moose Hillock trip but being from Nashua NH and the gas prices the way they are (or are going to be) I'm not sure about that one!

If you want to be near Lake Winnipesaukee, try Meredith Woods which is connected with Clear Water. Meredith has an indoor pool and Clear water is on a lake. Long Island Bridge is on Winnipesaukee and a very neat and clean campground. Danforth Bay would be great for the kids, but not much tourist destination choices in the area. For more tourist attractions, check out the North Conway area.
