North Sterling SP, NE Colorado

Anyone headed west toward Denver or the Colorado mountains and needing a spot to stop along I-76 might consider North Sterling State Park. A few miles north of Sterling, Colorado and a couple of hours NE of Denver, it might just work for some trips, and it's a well set up place. Hookups are 50a electric, but good fresh water at many spigots around the park, dump stations at the campgrounds at both ends of the park. Clean rest rooms with flush toilets, no showers. We just stayed 2 nights this week doing a trial run of our new TT. Although I didn't have much luck from shore, fishing is supposed to be pretty good for bass and walleye.

A couple of photos (we stayed at the Inlet Grove loop):

Haven't tried that one yet. Thanks for the tip, we might give it a go before we move. Jackson Lake State park is also out that way. Late summer though is not a good time there with lots of fish kill.

Stayed there one night on our way home two summers ago. Arrived at dusk, left at dawn. Didn't see any of the campground, wish we did as it looked like it was a great place. All I remember is frogs or toads everywhere in the evening. Made it hard to even walk to the rest rooms.
