Not my Jam - But see the Joy

We're staying at a campground in Connecticut that is at least 50% permanent/seasonal. Elaborate landscaping on many of the sites. Giant decks with lights everywhere and solid roofs. Multiple playgrounds. Nice camp store. On a Saturday night there were gatherings of friends from different campsite. Very much the feel of a community.

Hate it myself. But I can see the appeal. :-)

Many campgrounds in Maine have a lot of seasonals too. But the aesthetic is way different. There may be yahd aht of a different kind.

We've seen it everywhere. Thankfully there are options for every mood. We look for rustic and quiet in the summer. But a party can be fun too.

We have friends in central Illinois who have site an 80% permanent and enjoy a visit. But way too many parks out there we need to visit.

Maybe if we can't drive and setup it might have more appeal.

I have a permanent site in Florida. A quiet community of about 100 RVs and 150 manufactured homes. There is an active social calendar but little pressure to be over active. Some neighborly participation is expected but with the nature of the neighborhood it isn't a problem.

The entire community is like they used to be several decades ago and I keep expecting Mr. Rogers to walk by.

I have a SOB 5th wheel that stays on site and a Hummingbird for travel back and forth along with summer travel.
