Pataluma, CA KOA

Hi all,
Just a heads up or those contemplating the Pataluma, CA KOA (great access to San Fran and Napa). Always call ahead and check if the local farmers are spreading manure. We are here for our 29th anniversary and man does it stink. Barbara is being a trooper but even my eyes water when we leave the trailer .
It is a great spot to day trip out of and the facilities are top notch. Great for kids; petting zoo, huge pool, etc.
Glamp on,
Jim

Thanks for the heads-up Jim. We usually do a search of reviews for campgrounds that we might stay in (we travel 'round the country a lot so don't always frequent the same ones). The one time this trip that we didn't read a review, it turned out to be the one I wish we had! We actually had another choice an hour earlier that we passed up off the interstate.

Hi Judy/Don,
We did our research before and the one we wanted had terrible reviews (on the beach). We stayed at the KOA because we paid for it (I'm a cheap SOB) but we did a little searching yesterday and the one we wanted was far supperior to this one. Beautiful beaches, great sites, and the reviews weren't that old.... oh well. We now know. It's the closest beach to us so we really wanted it to work out. Glad we went out looking.

There's nothing like the ripe smell of the farm!

Happy Anniversary!
