Thumbs up Pigeon Forge Tn.

We stayed 7 nights 12/27 to 1/3 at Pine Mountain Resort RV park in Pigeon Forge. Maybe the best campground we have ever stayed at. Sites were level, wifi fast, and the bathrooms and bathhouse's were always clean. There were six RV's in our group and we all agreed this place was awesome. On a side note while in Gatlinburg we ate at "Dicks Last Resort" . The food sucked but the staff keeps you very entertained.

That is good to know, we wanted to go to this RV Park and the Smokey Mountains this past year but had to reschedule. I will be booking this vacation again and will stay there.

We stayed at Holly Haven RV Park on Wears Valley Road. It is about a mile off the "strip" and was really nice. Because of its location, it was a little cheaper but still had all the amenities including wi-fi. Easy to get to with great access to all the attractions. We have stayed at other CG at Pigeon Forge and this is our favorite.

Since we travel with our 2 dogs we are always looking for campgrounds that have a dog park and not just pet friendly. Did you by chance happen to see a dog park there? We are planning a Dollywood visit in the near future.

Thanks,

Fred

Thanks, I really need fenced dog parks as our two Britts have a lot of energy and they do much better if they get a morning run.

I'm gonna have to check out PINE MOUNTAINS. Its in a great spot for us as our number one site ELKMONT inside the Natl Park but when we want hookups we usually stay at the camp ground just before your go into the Natl Park on the TOWNSEND side. We always like the creek side camp sites... Townsend is where we always go for groceries and camping supplies. This town is really toned down from the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge tourist atmosphere. Of course the COLEMAN STORE in Pigeon Forge is the best place to go spend a day for camping supplies.

Other times when we want to get in the middle of the hoop-la down there we camp at RIVEREDGE RESORT in Pigeon Forge. Great people run this place... Always a nice experience...

We have to go to the BENNETS BBQ in Gatlinburg for BREAKFAST at least a couple of times when in the area. They put on a GREAT BREAKFAST BAR there...
