Place to park in Chapel Hill NC.

I have to take my son to a specialist in Chapel Hill. It's a 3 hour drive west from home. We've decided to turn this into a small trip out to the mountains. Problem is parking at UNC hospital and medical centers is horrendous and there is no way I can get the camper in parking lots. And the garages are definitely out! Does anybody have any suggestions as to where I can drop off the TT in the area? I know there are several malls and shopping centers in The area, but I'm afraid it might not be there when I return. I'm afraid it might get towed. Very serious about parking in that town. Would a Wal-Mart allow me to leave it for a few hours? There are no truck stops near the Triangle.

I would look into finding a campground that you could set the rig up and then do your local driving and appointments without the rig.

Nearest campground is over 20 Miles away in the wrong direction. Plus can't check in til after 4pm. His appt is at 2pm. I plan to be outta there by 4pm.

Called a local mall and asked. She said as long as I didnt leave it Overnight and parked it in a certain area, I was ok. She even said She would tell security to expect it that afternoon and wrote down the brand and license plate and they would even keep an eye on it for me since I called and asked. I drive right past This mall is going into town and I'll need to eat somewhere so they'll even get some of my business for being so nice about it. She was very nice and thanked me profusely for asking and not just doing it.
