Ponchos Pond

On the recommendation of our neighbours we are thinking about heading to Ponchos pond in July of this year. We should take possession of our new TT in April of this year and will be upgrading from a pop-up; so needless to say we are very excited to have more space and hopefully less set up!

It sounds like a very nice park with lots of amenities. We like the fact that it has free wifi as we've got a 12 year old son who loves his video games lol

Anyone else else planning a trip there around July 7-14?

If you've been there in the past what has your experience been like?

Haven't been to Ponchos Pond campground but you may want to look into Ludington State Park. Ponchos looks like it right in town off a very busy four lane road. Ludington State Park is a few miles west then north of town right on Lake Michigan, its a beautiful park full of trees and no major road noise, and about two miles of Lake Michigan beach. For a day trip head south to Silver Lake State Park which is an ORV area and sand dunes on Lake Michigan, you can drive your f150 all over the dunes area, or hang out at the beach for the afternoon.

Still would love to find others that might be going to Ponchos when we are.

We have reserved a site from July 7-14.

We spoke to our neighbours in regards to the noise, and they said it's never been an issue and they have stayed all over the park.

We have stayed at Poncho's Pond many times since it opened in the mid 80's. It is by far one of the nicest parks we have stayed in. It is in town but ingress and egress is easy from the west side of the park, south of the main drag. If you like your amenities, this is the park to stay in. Only downside is that it is often difficult to get a site there.

Thanks for the reply Glad to know someone else that has stayed there.

We heard it was hard to get a spot hence why we already have our site booked for July.
