Roads in Michigan

We will be heading to Ludington Mi. area from northern Ohio next week. Have heard some chatter about some Michigan roads being pretty rough and hard on TV and camper. Looking at going US 23, I96, then US 31. Are these decent or roads to avoid? Suggested alternative routes? Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Bill

You will have no problems with any of those roads. They are all in great shape after extensive rebuilding the past few years. There is one bridge being fixed near the end of I96 near Coopersville that slows traffic a bit but that's it for construction. Enjoy the Ludington area its beautiful, make sure to check out the sand dunes at Silver Lake State Park, you will pass it south of Ludington.

I live near the intersection of I-96 and US-31. You'll be fine. Not that we don't have some road issues in our state, but your route will be smooth sailing.

I was camping 15 miles north of Ludington a couple weeks ago......, even had a back bear lumbering around the rustic campground area (National Forest).

I was at Ludington State Park a couple weeks ago. Other than the never ending rain it was beautiful. Hope you have a good time.
