Traffic app. Notifies you of bottlenecks. Google maps wig traffic enabled does too but I require a navigator then.
Good luck next Fri.

I'm heading up to ADK next weekend as well with my 323LKTS. But because I live on Long Island I have to deal with the bridges so leaving on Friday afternoon is out of the question for me. Traffic will be horrendous. I'll be leaving 4am Saturday morning instead. Roads and bridges are wide open at that time.

287 is no good. 87 N there are several full service rest stops along the route at about 30 - 40 mile intervals. These start north of TZB along 87.

Queensbury is the cheapest up there, but you should be disconnected to do it.

If you don't have enough to make to LGRVP then stop south of Albany. North of Albany they are tight and off the regular exits.

Ok thanks,I'm hoping to stop before I get on 287 and at least top off so I can make it thru there without stopping.I've been in a few crappy places where I have had to disconnect trailer in a parking lot to fit in a fuel station .I can only get about 225 miles before I need fuel.

Sloatsburg service area on 87 is right after you get on
There are 8 exits you have to choose from on 87
Three are other expressways
24 where you get off to continue to 87 LG has no services

Fuel is cheaper in NJ, so if you have a place to get it I would. Avg Diesel is $2.45/pg right now. Based on your range I would also consider a stop prior to Albany since it's about 240 miles from exit 10 (287) to LGRVP. Those mountains can burn a little more than normal.

There is a truck stop with a Cat scale at exit 16 on the Northway. It's on the south side of the road so you need to make a left once your exit. Google CAT scales and you will see the truck stop in that region. After that it gets tight maneuvering on the exits.
