I used the southern tier NY route to Maine which took me into Albany and I followed the 7 to I think 2 or 202. But that led me straight into Vermont NH and into Maine. No tolls. Follow the gps or else you will end up on a toll road. My phone died so I ended up having to use the cars gps which was not fun setting up but got it done and yeah, great drive. Good luck. I am staying in Maine for the summer near Acadia and everything that can go wrong has. Hoping my luck has changed this week. Happy trails.
