Howdy all,
I just got back from Mesa, AZ. I stayed at two different locations. The first was Mesa Spirit RV Resort. It is a 55+ rv resort. Basically a parking lot for rv's with lots of amenities. Great if you want the pools, clubhouse, and that unique community. They were over $50 per day, full hookups, pull through.
The second was at the Usery Moutain Recreation Area. It was just $25 per day and they had pullthroughs as well as back-in sites. Each site had water and electricity, a grill and cement picnic table, and wonderful scenery. Sites were spaced out enough to give you a sense of privacy. Bathhouses/bathrooms were plentify and VERY clean!!!! Except for the jumping cactus, it was FANTASTIC. I would recommend this camp site over the commercial sites in the Mesa area hands down. Only draw back was no sewer at the site. You had to go to the dumpstation, but that wasn't a big problem with a tote.
