RV Parking, I-75 N of Atlanta

We will be southbound on I-75 in a few days. ... would like to do an overnight stay north of Atlanta so we can go through (or around) early the next day. KOA would be our choice, but there are none in the area.

Any suggestions / recommendations, public or private, are appreciated.

There are several on and near Lake Allatoona and in Marietta. Not KOA but several qualify for the America the Beautiful pass. This will give you lots of info: https://tripwizard.rvlife.com

I haven’t stayed at this place yet. Heading to Florida in October. It sounded to me to be an okay place to overnight. It’s called Harvest Moon RV Park, 1001Poplar Springs Rd., Ph 770-773-7320, just off the interstate north of Atlanta in Adairsville. Going thru Atlanta early Sunday morning. Comin back north a different route to avoid Atlanta. Couldn’t make reservations online, had to call by phone. Check it out. Have, fun, be safe, good travels.

Atlanta is a nightmare 24/7. Where are you headed after Atlanta?

Sunday morning EARLY is usually the best time to go through Atlanta.

We went north Monday, Labor Day, morning and it was the best trip through Atlanta we have ever had - didn't lose any time. But we started on the south end about 4 am.

We stay in Forsyth, Ga, the night before and leave as early as we can. Forsyth is about an hour south of Atlanta.

It's not uncommon to lose an hour or more at any time. When we go around, we like the west (airport) side.

We're headed home, Englewood, FL. If Plan A holds up, we wil visit the Allman Brothers Band Museum in Macon. ... probably stay the night somewhere close.

And if we get tropical storms coming into the gulf, who knows where we will end up.

Thank you. ... will check out Harvest Moon and let you know how it is if we stay there.

Good suggestion, Lonetraveler. We stayed at Harvest Moon on our return trip and will stay there again. It's what we want from that type of setting (we're not glampers or the Clampetts). It has easy access to and from I-75, safe, clean, and well managed.

We were moving at a few minutes after 4 am on Thursday and went through Atlanta with moderate traffic - no problems.

Thanks the update and glad it worked out for you since I gave the suggestion on a site unseen basis.
