Spearfish In April?

Anyone stay in the Spearfish S.D. area in April?
Chomping at the bit to get out, but I know this time of year can be a little wild.
How about some options if we get stranded?

Being from Cheyenne you know all too well that April can be very unpredictable. Two years ago we planned a Memorial Day Weekend in Spearfish, but had to cancel due to a spring blizzard. That being said, Spearfish is beautiful, and they have a great city park with full hook ups right by the fish hatchery. If you time it right, the weather could be fantastic. Good Luck!

In Spearfish Now

We returned to Spearfish early from Arizona to get our Covid-19 vaccinations. Staying at Elkhorn Ridge Resort now. Elkhorn Ridge and the KOA campground will be open in April but I believe the City Park Campground opens sometime in May. You will have snow days and many nights below freezing. But we are here so it's doable.

Appreciate it

I have a 2 for 1 deal at the KOA, so we might give it a go.
Our trailer should be able to handle the temps if we get stranded.
