Recently, I was camping on the Frio river in Concan, Texas. I was chatting with a fellow camper and when I told him I was traveling to Austin, he asked how I was going. I explained that I would be taking Highway 16 through Kerrville into Fredericksburg. He warned me not to go that way as my total length is 60' and that I would not fit through the switchbacks should I encounter oncoming traffic in a turn. So, does anyone know of a publication or website that would indicate these type of restrictions?

The Rand McNally Motor Carriers' Road Atlas may help you. It does not show any restritions on TX16 from Kerrville to Fredericksburg (but then again, I've not driven that route myself).
