Who’s camping over thanksgiving?

We are going camping over the thanksgiving holiday. This will be our fourth year to do so. We fry a turkey at the CG and it’s awesome. We are going back to Big Bend

Anyone camping this thanksgiving?

I love me some fried turkey! We do one every year...except this year. The DW decided that we are going on a cruise for the week of Thanksgiving...I know, I know...I'll suffer thru it! At least the boat serves Turkey dinner for Thanksgiving & they have the football games on in the sports bar!

Tough job but someone’s gotta do it. [emoji23][emoji1787]
Enjoy the cruise!

We are camping at Allegany State Park in WNY. We will have "Garbage Can" turkey on Thanksgiving day.

20 lb. turkey
20 gallon steel garbage can
20 lb. bag of charcoal
2 hours cooking time.

Always turns out perfect!

Refer to Google or Youtube for instructions.

8 years in a row this year!

Sounds interesting. Is it like an ugly drum smoker? Guess I’ll need to look it up

We're not camping for Turkey Day, but wish we were if that counts. By the way, we have many thanks for the blessings that we've been given. Health, family, happiness........

I'm very curios about this, as we have prime rib for dinner on Christmas every year. I found the below video, but it's too over done for my tastes from the looks of the video.

Man that sound good. I cook prime rib every Christmas as well. It’s actually my wife’s birthday so it’s her birthday dinner. I slow roast it in the oven. Served with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Finished with creme brûlée. Yum. Now I’m hungry!

Don't forget the horseradish sauce!! The deep fried prime rib looks interesting but I like it rare to med rare. Guess you'd just lessen the cook time.

It has been a 6 year tradition for us. We camp with a few friends and we all share the cooking. I have a Blackstone Griddle and I do the breakfast meal. I also have A CharBroil Big Easy oil less Air Fryer. We're doing a Turkey. It is amazing how moist and tender the meat is and how Crispy the outside gets. It turns out to be a great feast for Thanksgiving. And it lasts for 5 days.Oh and I think I'm going to try a prime Rib Roast for Christmas this yr. in the Air Fryer.

We will be boondocking from Thursday through Sunday. We go every year and ride the RZR in the woods. Always a fun time in Central Louisiana.

We go out every thanksgiving, last time out for the year. Find a park, do some hiking, and have tacos for diner. Started in college. Have turkey with one side, turkey with the other, and turkey with the grand parents so we have tacos instead of more turkey.

Our first year with an RV. So about the beginning of September decided we wanted to camp that weekend. The DW wanted full hook ups, also wanted something within a couple hours drive. Well...here in the Southwest that’s a HUGE camping weekend. So needless to say we are staying home and will get an earlier jump on it next year.

Those of you camping enjoy, we are jealous!

We have ours on my son in law's family farm for the Alabama hunting season. We get to go several times through the winter. Thanksgiving is one of the biggest. Lots of family and food.
