Williamsburg, VA Camping

Dose anyone happen to have any suggestions on staying close to Colonial Williamsburg, Va for one night around July 4th. All of the campgrounds around that area require a min 3 night stay. We really only need one night to land the ship, do some walk about and then back to catch some zzzzz's. Wanted to be close to go do some sightseeing, but didn't expect the $300 price tag.

Thank you for the input.

We rented a cabin at a campground two years ago- it had Anvil in the name. I have to go look it up. Really close to everything. It seemed tight but there were quite a few big rigs in there. Nice pool and people were friendly. We only stayed 2 nights before we met my parents at their place. Give them a try...

We stay at the KOA in Williamsburg every year in October for Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream. Not sure about the minimum stay there, but they are pretty nice for a KOA.

Thank you all, so far we are on two waiting list for single night stay. Hopefully Anvil will come through. It will either be a $300 camping spot or a $200 hotel room. Possibly a bit of dry camping if possible, may be needed...
Thanks again.
