2018 Jayco Eagle HT 28.5 RSTS - generator options

Sorry in advance if this is a duplicate post - We just purchased a new 2018 Jayco Eagle HT 28.5 RSTS and it came with what looks like an onboard gen prep. If you look at the front of the 5th wheel, just under the nose is a metal compartment (box) just adjacent to the battery compartment. It looks like it's been fabricated for a generator. On the inside of the 5'r, there's a panel switch that looks like you can turn a generator on if it was installed.

Our 5'r has almost ALL options - 50A service with dual 15K Dometic AC's (ducted), auto level system, Fireplace/heater (electric), on demand water heater (gas), Microwave oven, Fridge (electric/gas), stove/oven (gas), TV, AM/FM/DVD player, LED lights, triple slide outs with covers, dual pane windows and Dry Camping Package (3 propane tanks).

Question 1: Is the generator compartment made for a specific type generator or can anything (that will fit) be used?
Question 2: Approximately how much power (Watts/Amps) is needed to run this rig in case of a power outage or if we're out dry camping?

Note: We plan on using this rig in Texas later on, so it's possible we'll want to run both AC's running if it's crazy hot outside. Not sure how this factors in but we've already plugged into 110v/15A home outlet and had 1 AC running, TV, Radio and all lights on without issue.

Gen prep is for the Onan 5500 LP.

I wouldn't run the AC on 15 amp service, especially with an extension cord. What was the voltage with the AC and such on? I bet we'll below 120v.

Earl - I've upgraded my extension cord to 12 gauge commercial grade. It's much thicker than the last one I was using. As far as the draw on voltage - hard to say. I'd have to try to get a measure or look it up somewhere. I doubt we'll be running everything like that again and just stick with the basics for getting road ready.
