Like OldmanAZ, I too feel a need to add to my reply. Firstly, admittedly your 21-footer is a bit longer than my little 154BH, but not appreciably. Additionally, we had only two, relatively hardy guys accustomed to inclement weather (although ours was hardly inclement). Secondly, given the conditions you listed, I assumed you would be boondocking; perhaps I misunderstood. I also should have stated we, other than perhaps the less-than-significant 1.5V battery minder, didn't charge the aforementioned batteries at any time during our stay. Lastly, however, you gave us no indication of the weather condition where you'd be camping - warm, cold, blizzard, what ? Inasmuch as your profile lists San Antonio, I may have assumed your foray was in less than Alaska WX-severe conditions - my bad. I apologize for running on so long - as a teacher, you'll undoubtedly appreciate the old saw, "verbosity is the essence of nothing" .

We used the Mr. Heater with windows (zippers) cracked. DW prefers to use comforters and warm clothes for sleeping, even at home so the furnace fan might not be working too hard.

Thank you for the heads up on the lack of charging current. I realize that an hour or two isn't going to do too much. Solar is looking better.

It looks like I'm just going to add a 100 Watt Solar system. We camp around Texas in the winter and summer from Maine to Oregon. (Need to leave the Texas heat).
