Best trailer for off-roading

Hi,

I am looking to buy a lightweight trailer than can handle off roads but not extreme ones. I have looked at Baja version of Jayco SLX and Starcraft with the extreme package. I don't really want a pop up tent as I do winters in the Mojave and Nevada deserts.

Do the above really help with off roads?

Depending on what you mean by off road.. if you mean the extreme stuff you need a rock crawler for then NO nothing will help it will DESTROY your trailer.. Now if you mean a relatively smooth surface going a moderately slow speed almost any trailer will work for this..

the roads where I go are not smooth but not extreme. rocks and large diverts cause by water runoff are common. I do drive slowly on these roads but the many bumps will affect the trailer. it would be a class two road and sometimes a class three road as roads worse for part of the drive.

I dont think you will find any RV able to withstand that on a regular basis.. since all manufactures use staples you will find it pulling apart in no time.
