Has anyone tried to put some extra insulation around the bump out areas? This would seem to be quite a drafty area when the weather gets colder. I will be boondocking with my trailer and it will be stationary on blocks. My old trailer didn't have bump outs. I was thinking of putting long strips of insulation behind the bump out lip (when it is partially in) from the inside and then open the bump all the way to hold it in place.

I added insulation to the outside when the slides had been fully opened. I would avoid: "... long strips of insulation behind the bump out lip (when it is partially in) from the inside and then open the bump all the way to hold it in place." If the insulation prevents the slide from fully opening a small gap will be created. It does not take too much of a gap to allow water to find its way in...

I used the type of polypropylene stuff that you wrap pipes with. I would cut it to length and squeeze it into the gap where the lower slide seal is located.

Sorry Clutch, no on the pictures. Besides, I have already removed the extra insulation since Spring has arrived...
