Noob Goin Boondocking!

Hello all and thank you for the forums! I have so many questions that I've been trying not to ask without using "search" and reading hundreds of pages! LOL!

I just purchased a 2006 27BH that I will be going full time in.
Also, I've never owned a camper!

I'm not sure how rubber roofs are supposed to be maintained other than an annual dawn scrubbing. Is there an rv version of cool seal or something we're supposed to use?

It has just a touch of water damage on the walls of the bunk/shower area (previous roof leak, new roof) but is structurally sound.
I plan on replacing those water damaged interior panels with painted luon and installing a permanent hour shower

I also have a victron multiplus 3000 and 6.6kw of LiFePo batteries (about to be 13.2kw) with a daly 250 bms.

I'm putting 1000w+ of solar on the roof.

And I also plan on re configuring the front bedroom. I don't need a couch and will probably remove it to add more storage cabinets/closet. I was thinking about removing one of the upper front wardrobes, turning the mattress 90* against the front wall, and making the other wardrobe a closet. I'm not sure how structural those wardrobes are to the camper shell?

Thanks for having me and I look forward to interacting here!

Welcome to JOF and rving life style!

No need to apologize for asking questions either! I admit the search engine on our forum software is lacking and we can't do anything about it so please when searching click on the Google search function. The link is in my signature or also it is in the Forun Admin and announcements section as a sticky post in the forum.

https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...rum-37615.html

Once in that, just enter your question and it will search and post all threads on this JOF site. You can refine your search criteria and get unlimited info if you have time to read what happened in the past. try it and you will have loads of info.

Any questions do not hesitate to ask in the appropriate section and you will get many more replies than in this section which is basically a "Meet and Greet" area.

Thanks, y'all!

I've been a big fan of the google "site" search for many years now. It can even be useful while shopping!

Welcome from Northern Ontario.
Wow, you are more than the average 'DIY' guy.
Good luck, and happy camping.

Lol! Thank you!

Too dumb to say "no, I can't do that" so I end up learning just enough about things to be dangerous.
