Potty Talk Part 2

Howdy all, Noob here with a black tank question.
Most of our outings will be boondocking. With that said, should the need arise to empty the tanks the nearest dump station isnít close and down a somewhat bumpy dirt road. Iíve seen the totes one can get but that seems like a miserable choice towing that little flimsy things behind my truck for 4-5 miles down a dirt road. Is there any feasible way to have the tote in the truck bed and fill it using some sort of pump and then empty from there using gravity at the dump station. Or am I better off just bitching up and dragging the trailer over to the dump station.
Any thoughts or options would be great. Pics of your set up would be appreciated.

Thank you
Jason

You could use one of these to pump your waste into the tote. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Will that work to pump up into a tote in the truck bed? I have Ram 2500 with some decent ground clearance on it so might be a bit if a run.

It will easily pump up 10'. Just NEVER confuse that hose with your FW hose.

The Flo Jet macerator pump is exactly what you are looking for. I use it to dump at home in my sewer clean out. It pumps up a pretty steep hill without any issue.

So if I’m using the macerator pump, what do I need to hook that thing up to a portable tote in the back of my truck

That is exactly what I use at my campsite. Mine will pimp 5' vertically. I forget the horizontal distance but I pump 30' horizontal and 5' vert.

I concur.

Flavored water is good....but that type of "flavored" water: not so good.

My tote has a molded Garden hose fitting. Remove the fill gauge level to attach.

I didn't read all the answers, but this is the best answer. A macerator pump will transfer waste into the tote in your TV's pickup bed.
Do the math: water weighs 8.3 pounds per gallon. A 30 gallon tote can hold more than 250# of waste. You ain't liftin' that into the bed, and you ain't towing that flimsy tote 5 miles down a gravel road...especially with 250 pounds of icky stuff in it.
