I have dealt with loud music and loud construction type generators at bbq cookoffs for years.

It comes down to having consideration for your fellow man, which these days is getting harder and harder to find.

It never ceases to amaze me when setting up in my space, (before we had a TT) a guy pulls in behind me with his TT back to me, then sets his loud gen set behind his TT right in my face.!

Its inconsiderate and down right rude. !

I spent the $$$$$$ right out of the gate for a inverter type gen because I don't want to be "that guy"

Also these days folks are a bit timid about saying anything to others because you never know.

I asked a promoter once to get my neighbor at a cook off to move his gen (set behind his TT and 5 feet from my pit) because I wasn't about to listen to that for 2 days. He did and the a$$ hole wanted to fight me. Was absolutely ridiculous the way he was acting. Totally unnecessary.

I look at it this way. If you going to be involved in an activity, then get the right equipment. That doesn't mean the cheapest equipment.

Think about others no just yourself. If everybody did that we would have a lot less problems in this world.

Sorry about the rant but it has been a big issue for me for years. Seems like at a cook off I am a loud gen magnate.
