Yes, Michigan has some great State and Federal forest campgrounds....., and Brevoort Lake area is one of my favorites as well. Camping at Brevoort Lake is nice having the added benefit of Lake Michigan "across the street" (US 2) with miles of sandy beach!
On the JOF Home page click on "Communities", then "Social Groups", look for "Michigan Campers and Campgrounds"........, may find some more CG's to add to your list.
