Duck Creek Utah

Just got back from 5 days at Duck Creek campground in southrn Utah. Had a great time even though we had to treat it as "glorified tent camping" due to the fact that on the very first day, had no water pressure. (I'll post an inquiry on a on the tech thread for info on that).

Also, on the 2nd to last night there, we had "that guy" show up across the way with his extremely loud construction grade generator running until 10pm.

The place is fantastic. We live in southern Calif. (Long Beach area) but it was well worth the 900 mile round trip.

My niece and her husbands campground. We call it Camp Bacon. Bring your own water (our 28BHBE carries 88 gallons) All electric is by generators.
The campground is right along a nice wide creek. We have a Zip line and go carts for kids to play with. Oh, and we are all well protected!

Sometimes it takes a little maneuvering to get into those great boondocking campsites like this one on Michigan's Lake Superior (Bay Furnace CG, Hiawatha National Forest, August 2017).

Wow, I just stumbled across this thread.
Really getting sick of the campground routine.
I think I am going to have to get me a genny and do some relaxing camping :-)

Doug,

Go for it...., boondocking (dry camping) can be as rustic & remote as one wants to make it. IMO boondocking takes relaxation to an altogether different level....., just a great experience

I can't wait to try out our first boondocking trip in GSMP in October .

Staying at Elkmont CG for a couple nights. Although I am going to cheat a little and bring our new Honda EU2000i along just in case our battery can't handle the entire trip. Also bought a new Mr. Buddy heater in case it gets cold.

This thread has inspired me......I can already see the solar panels on our horizon

01tundra,

Always enjoyed the Smoky Mountains....., parents lived couple miles outside of Brevard and shopped at the Hendersonville Fresh Market often.

Take some pics when at Elkmont CG, curious what the campground and area looks like. Also, make note of some desirable campsite #'s for future reservations.

Will do. We always take the campground map and a pen and go for a walk to rate every site in campgrounds we visit.
