Solar panel theft ?

I would be interested to know what you guys do with the briefcase style solar panels to detour theft ? Is this a problem at all?

I would set them up on the back of my hard cover truck bed cover. You could even let them sit down inside the truck bed if its in high sun. Would possible keep them out of sight better. This will remind me to stow them away if we decide to do some sight seeing...

Portable solar panels would be treated just like my 2KW Generator sitting secured in the covered tailgate corner of my truck bed. They would go where I go haha...

I have never had an issue. Then again, I do not have a brief case style. When I put my panel out, I put it on the roof of my TT (my cord is long enough to lay down the front and plug into the controller. I have left my campsite and been gone all day many times.

I may be playing stupid odds but generally speaking, a person bold enough to climb up on top of a TT at a camp site to steal a solar panel would probably be bold enough to open the storage panels (since they all have the same key) and/or just break into the TT.
