Some new costs in Utah

According to this: https://www.rvtravel.com/utah-campgr...ght-rvt-1059b/

Prices are going to be charged at several regular boondocking sites in central Utah.

It will be interesting to see what kind of change it makes and how deep are they going to enforce it .

While we boondock more often than not, I think part of this is due to the amount of litter left behind and overstaying the time limits.

Honestly, I am glad to see this happening.

Why you ask? I have camped in at least six of those listed camping areas that have very scenic surroundings. They are primitive, but many have Pit-toilets and other limited amenities that the BLM has to maintain for the massive number of people that come and visit.

I think that knowing that you had to pay a use-fee for the night and register your name and address - that will also prompt those who don't clean up after themselves to start.

Some pics of the Wedge and Buckhorn Wash to wet your appetite-

I was actually surprised at how many of these sites we've stayed at. I haven't driven the Seneca to the Wedge and Buckhorn wash yet, last time it was a pretty gnarley roadway.

We're both Master Educators for LNT and Master Trainers for TE and the amount of trash is disheartening, the noise, the campfire rings right next to each other and etc.

That said, we have stayed at some really nice places, and will continue even when we pay our $20.00.

I am constantly amazed how people can actually do things like this. I was just brought up differently I guess.

Yep!

Unfortunately, it's up to a handful of us to pick up the trash of others.
