1 or 2 Pole?

I have a 2017 Jayco Grayhawk. I accidentally snapped my power cord in two. I want to attach a male plug in one end of the broke cord and female receptacle on the other. It’s a 30 amp system. Is my system a 125 or 250 volt system? Is it 1 pole or two? Any recommendations for the plugs I want to install? Thanks!

If you have a 30 amp system it is 110 volts - 1 Hot - 1 Neutral and 1 Ground.

I know that. Thanks. The plugs I'm looking to use all say 2 Pole. I thought mine is a one pole. Don't really know the difference.

The power plug is a 2 pole. 1-HOT( BLACK), 1-Common (NEUTRAL, WHITE). In the breaker panel 110 volt is a single pole breaker. for your cord ends, use a twistlok type plug(male) and connector (female) like this. https://www.elecdirect.com/locking-p...e07ec1c91589b3

The 30-amp service for an RV is 120-volt 2 Pole 3 Wire setup. It is a standard ANSI C73.13, TT-30P (plug) / TT-30R (receptacle)

I haven't heard the term "single pole" used for power cord connections, however the 30 amp RV's use a single pole breaker which is likely what is referenced in what you are seeing. 120v, 30 amps, single pole. There is a 2 pole 30a setup that electric dryers use, so perhaps that is what the mfg is distinguishing between.

BTW, you could purchase an entire new cord from amazon for about $50 if that would work better for you. ~CA

Hey Mark, You indicated ANSI C73.13, TT-30P (plug) / TT-30R (receptacle). Couldn't find those. Will NEMA L5-30R work?

L5-30 is a 120v, 30A twist-lock... that's the 'trailer' end of most removable cord sets... The pedestal end will be a TT-30P.

If you're trying to reconnect the middle of a damaged cord, you could use a pair of L5-30P and L5-30R cord caps, and basically make a TT-30 to L5-30R cord, and an L5-30P to L5-30R extension set...

Although, to be honest, If the cord was abused to the point it's cut in half, I'd be tempted to replace it outright.
